Our Work

What’s the Difference Between the W4C Action Fund and the W4C 501(c)(3)?

Women4Change Indiana is made up of two entities, Women4Change Indiana and Women4Change Indiana Action Fund. Both work together to create a future of equity for Hoosiers. Women4Change Indiana focuses on providing educational resources and programming, while Women4Change Indiana Action Fund advocates for policy change.

Women4Change Indiana, a 501(c)(3), focuses on nonpartisan education and civic engagement programming, and donations to it are tax-deductible. If you're looking to support our educational initiatives or want your gift to be tax-deductible, please visit the W4C 501(c)(3) website.

Women4Change Indiana Action Fund is a 501(c)(4) organization that influences public policy through elections and government advocacy. Support for this work is not tax-deductible.

The mission of Women4Change Indiana is to provide civic learning and equip Hoosiers to engage in our democracy to achieve better outcomes in health, economic stability and personal safety for women in Indiana.

Our Priority Areas are:

  • Voting & Elections

  • Civic Education

  • Health & Wellness

  • Economic Mobility

  • Safety & Security

We accomplish this through a framework of: Educate, Collaborate, Advocate and Activate. Our goal is to manifest more engagement along the continuum, so women are empowered and know where to effect change in their spheres of influence. We plan to align informational and activation efforts along the following themes in the coming year:

Democracy: Your Voice, Your Power
When women lead and share in decision-making, communities thrive. We are committed to ensuring every Hoosier woman is informed, empowered and ready to speak their truth.

Safety & Justice: Know your Rights
Every Hoosier woman deserves to live free from violence and fear. We are working to strengthen protections against domestic violence, sexual assault and workplace harassment.

Economic Equality: Women in the Workforce
Economic equality isn’t a luxury — it’s a necessity. We are pushing for policies and programs that address basic needs, promote fair wages and paid family leave and support for women business leaders and entrepreneurs.

Reproductive Healthcare: Science, Policy and Access
Healthcare decisions should be made by women and their doctors — not politicians. We will fight to expand access to reproductive care and ensure women receive the services they need without political interference.
